Can anyone give me a test to tell if my boyfriend is really a good COBOL programmer?
I’m online-dating, and my boyfriend tells me that he is a 8 year experienced COBOL programmer. But he never specifically tells me where he works. I even wonder if he is actually a COBOL programmer. I want to ask some short quiz or question to tell whether he is. But I have no clue about COBOL. Can anyone give a short test? (For example, if you want to know if he is a historian of Europe history, you could ask, like, “Who is the first emperor of Holy Roman Empire?” )
ask him some short answer question:

OR
ask him some true/false questions:
COBOL is a strongly typed language. (F)
When a literal is stored in a numeric identifier, it is stored as letters. (F)
Conditions surrounding the word AND are evaluated first. (T)
Or here’s a surefire way to find out if you ever meet him in person ask:
‘Quick….what does COBOL stands for?’
when he answers ‘COmmon Business-Oriented Language’ you swiftly kick him in the nuts. If he rolls on the ground screaming and holding his crotch he’s probably a COBOL programmer. There’s no way to be absolutely sure though….you might want to try the last test one more time. =)
