im live in jakarta, indonesia. i have an online friend from the US we have chat for 3 months already i think. it turns out we like each other, but i dont know if we will go any further. so if we eventually date online, will it work? cause he’s a decent and sweet guy. but in a relationship we need to meet for real, or at least talk on the phone but it will cost us too much…
You both need to go out and get yourselves a headset / microphone and webcam. You can get both for pretty cheap (at least in the US) and then use Skype. Skype is free, and it’s like making a phone call through your computer. I think you’ll be amazed at the clarity of the calls.
An online relationship is not going to be good for anything but chatting, unless you can have some kind of physical contact. Given that you live in two different countries, Skype is the best thing you have going for you.
If you truly want a relationship with this guy, then you’ll need to eventually meet and one will have to think about relocating. After three months, it’s too early to start talking about that, but DO start talking about Skype.
