do you have a problem with interracial marriage?
I’m in an interracial marriage (she’s white/mexican) and before this woman, i had never dated outside of my race before. even in this day and age, we still get strange looks, from black and white people. my wife, who will pretty much tell anyone EXACTLY what she’s thinking, doesn’t really care, but there are times when it really bothers me, especially when black women look at me like a traitor. I have two black children from my first marriage, and no children with this wife (medical reasons). how can I minimize the effect it has on me…or will it pass with time?
Dude, you just have to let it go. My wife is white, and I think people used to stare at us at one point. But it doesn’t matter what they think about you and your choice for a mate. It matters that you’re happy. I would tell anybody who asked – would you rather me marry a beautiful, White, Christian woman, who loves me dearly and treats me well, or a Black woman who cheats and manipulates?
BEFORE I GET ALL OF THE ANGRY MESSAGES FROM BLACK WOMEN, I’m not saying that all Black women – or any Black women – are lying manipulators, but that just because a person is the same race as you doesn’t make you a good fit.
