Inter racial dating plus age difference?
okay i am 17 years old and i am an african american, and this guy i talk to is 21 and he is caucasion and is 21, now for right now we are only friends and that is our intent till i turn 18. we have had problems already, with people having issues about his race and my race, and the age difference, i really care about him alot and so does he for me.
now my problem is how can i get some of my friends to lay off him about his age and race? my family doesn’t mind his race, because we are a very very diverse family, but they do mind his age, which is understandable, but i am still doing what i want, and in the state of oklahoma 17 years old with my concent is not against the law if i decided to do anything with him (which i won’t my goal is to wait tioll marriage) and he understands that.
I just really don;t know what to do because some of my guy friends are all like “man why do u have to be with him, why not be with a “brotha” and i said race shouldn’t matter.
what can we do?
If you like him and he likes you, nothing else matters. The only exception is that you are under the age of 18. You are still a minor. You should not be with a 21 year old guy at that age! Your races have nothing to do with it. Your age will not matter either, once you are 18.
