Dating Shows
Do you ever think about the reasons why dating shows are so popular?
My guess would be because people like to see how others handle their love lives.
It is because our nation is falling apart. Our education system has removed the arts from our schools. The US is becoming a bunch of retards with a taste only for “Jerry Springer” type entertainment. Pretty sad for a nation that used to lead the world in entertainment. What ever happened to talent? Where are the great playwrights, the composers? We have become a nation of “reality” tv, which by the way is anything BUT reality. I hardly turn on my television anymore. Even the “news” has become nothing more than people screaming at each other with no communication taking place. If you want to cheer for the Republicans you have a network to watch as all they do is scream about the Democrats. Likewise if you want to cheer for the Democrats just change the channel and hear the same news from the other side yelling about the Republicans. Pretty sad that even our news networks look like a Jerry Springer show. If I have to see one more show where the laugh lines are things like “Uh Uh no you didn’t!” or “I don’t think so!” I will kill myself. Please, Please, Please, for the love of God let there be art. Let someone somewhere produce something that lifts us up and challenges us to be more than the scum we have become. How sad is it that I have over a hundred channels and the most intelligent thing I can find on at 7:00 in the evening is “Cash Cab”? Where are the Neil Simon’s, Rod Serling’s and Woody Allen’s of this generation? Would someone please pull the plug on the “reality” shows already??!!?? As for the “dating” shows, give me one where the audience gets to vote which bimbo gets hit over the head with a sledge hammer next and I’ll tune in. Thanks for letting me vent my rage. Now go ahead fellow answerers and give me the thumbs down and vote me off of your stupid island. I’m ready to go home and read a good book.
