Dating Rules Etiquette

Dating Netiquette: Online Dating Rules
So, what rules do I need to follow?
Dating netiquette requires you to set the rules that are obviously fair for you and your date. You can’t have one rule for yourself and another for your date and then expect all to be fine!
Firstly, remember to not use capital letters when you type your text. It is not only difficult to read, it is also equivalent to shouting or screaming in net language. How would you like that?
Like in real life, be sure to be polite in this virtual world. Don’t ask rude questions or reply rudely. After all, you are dealing with real, living persons who are liable to get hurt, angry or insulted just as you would.
Be truthful about yourself and your interests. Don’t feign interest when you dislike some activity that your probable date loves. You don’t have to be rude either. Your inactive reply will be sufficient enough for your date to know that you prefer some other interest. Not all dates are dumb you know!
Dating etiquette requires you to sit through a date even if you find him/her boring. Leaving the room /date midway is not being polite. You needn’t continue the conversation the next day. Just send a short note thanking him/her for the time. Of course, if you feel that the date is harassing you or being abusive, then you can promptly cut off the conversation!
Do check up your spelling. The occasional errors are fine but you definitely don’t want to appear low in the grey cell department. Of course, you can use abbreviations like LOL (laugh out loud) etc. It saves you time and makes your conversation more lively and realistic!
Remember, your date is just as busy as you are so, do not bombard him/her with every joke or picture that you receive from others. The occasional one is fine and that too if you date likes them. Don’t bore them to death just because you can’t get anything interesting to talk about for the moment.
Internet etiquette means talking with your date on topics that are not racist or obscene. You don’t want to shoo away your date or appear like a hooligan!
Online Netiquette is easy. Just remember to be yourself, to have fun but not go over board in your enthusiasm to impress. Just chat away without crossing the lines you wouldn’t if you were dating in person.
