Dating In The Dark
Black people have lot’s of differnt skin tones and can be colorstruck, have you ever been colorstuck?
My mother and sister are extremely light and sometimes made me feel uncomforatble in my own household. My mother would call me her a little chocolate baby and my sister would say my mother burned me. I know my mom didn’t mean to hurt me in anyway and my sister was just being mean like some siblings are to each other, but do the differences within your own families sometimes cause you to dislike your own skin color. For years I would only date very fair skinned black men even though i wasn’t very attracted to them. When I realized my own beauty I started dating dark men, because I was more attracted in the first place. Not all were black but some were dark hispanics and asians. I even use to call other dark skinned black ugly because they were dark. Is this a problem still going on in black homes?
It goes both ways. I have a friend you only dates/likes dark skin blk women. I told him this is wrong and blk people comes in all colors.
I also think for men it’s OK to be dark skinned because most women find it sexy. But for women to be dark skinned it’s not accepted in our culture as much.
I think you should just love the skin that your in. God made u that way for a reason, and God does not make mistakes.
OH and yes every blk person has. (even light skin.)
