boyfriend and foreign exchange student friend?
today my boyfriend was at my house, on my computer, and he was checking his myspace messages. i came into the room and he immediately minimized the screen. i saw that he was sending a message to this foreign exchange student (girl) from germany who goes to our school. heres what i know about her and him: a few months ago, before my bf and i started dating, he started hanging out with her and went to some parties with her. i know that nothing happened between them, but i think they might have liked each other at one point…a month or 2 after that my bf and i started dating. we’re in high school and have been good friends forever since we are neighbors. we’ve been going out for 6 weeks now. my friend told me that the foreign exchange student likes my bf, or maybe it seems that way because hes the only boy in america that she is friends with… so my question is: should i talk to my boyfriend and ask about her? idk i know they send myspace messages but i dont want to come off as jealous
On your computer? Well, I think if he was nervous enough to immediatley minimize the page then he’s hiding something. I don’t think talking to him would really help you much, because if he was interested in her he would lie wouldn’t he? So either way you’d still get the, “there’s nothing going on between us” answer. I’d just tell him how I feel, and not interogate him to find out about details. Let him know that she is making you feel uncomfortable regardless of whether something is going on or not, and that you would prefer if he wasn’t in contact with her. The key is to tell him how you feel, and if he’s sensitive to your feelings then maybe he’ll just agree to leave her alone.
