Find apartments by build date?
Is there any way where you can find a listing of apartment buildings in a particular city like San Diego by date? So you can see which building is more likely to be nice and modern and which is likely to have old kitchens and plumbing problems?
Yes you can, but it’s not worth the time or money to do it.
Doing it yourself:
Go to 1600 Pacific Highway in SD. That’s the county administration building. Go to the tax accessors office and look up the address of the land parcel. Build dates will be in those records.
Having an employee at the office do it for you:
They do this type of research but charge you for it. Copies used to be $1.00 per page. I don’t know what it is today.
A simpler solution is to call the various apartment compounds and just ask the managers. Even if they are not dead on with the answers you will get a good ballpark feel.
