Dating Best Friend’s Brother
would it be weird to date your best friend’s brother?
i really like my best friends older brother, but im not sure if it would be weird for her if we liked each other. which we do. hes 17 and im 16 so there is no problem. my friend knows i like her for her not her brother. jsut any of you with brothers, would it be weird if your friend dated him.
My friend dated our other friends brother …. our friend found it a bit weird that she wanted to date her brother but accepted it and let them give it a shot.
They went really well as a couple, but our friend found it weird that she was always at their house to see her brother and not her, and i think it caused quite a bit of strain on their friendship
. But being a good friend she continued to accept it, theres not alot she could have done to stop it and she didn’t want to ruin a friendship by not accepting who her friends like.
The main concern was that he was 7 years older than our friend, but when they became a couple it was clear age made no difference.
Unfortunately the relationship ended when he decided to move travel to Australia for a year.
Hopefully if you explain the situation to your friend she’ll be as understanding as ours was. But be aware it could cause some tension in your friendship and there may always be the niggling feeling that you are only friends with her because of her brother, no matter what you say.
Just make sure … NO MATTER WHAT. You do not abandon your friend … do not go round to her house and not talk to her, do not drop her for her brother! That’s a sure way to lose a friend!
