Dating My Best Friend
How do I comfort my boyfriend when he finds out that his exwife is now dating his best friend?
He is a really good friend and he really was very civil with the ex wife, made sure she was comfortable etc. Seems as though bad things happen to good people. How do I comfort him, what kind of advice and encouragement should i give him at this time? He is filled with betrayal, anger, and remorse.

You don’t want to be a target for the betrayal and anger and all, which will definitely happen, if your boyfriend is as stuck up over his ex as it sounds from your post, because if he is hurting badly, it isn’t because its your attention he wants, but his ex-wife’s/friend’s – in that moment, you will be the one to be hurt, and perhaps your relationship too.
The best thing you can do for him (and yourself and your relationship) now is to go on with life as usual. If he brings it up, listen, listen, listen. Don’t have an opinion. Not even if he invites it. It is his struggle, and while you can be there for him, listen, etc, you can’t tell him what to think, what to feel. That is his.
On the other hand, if he is in a truly bad space, your action of complete trust that he can manage his life will mean the world to him and enable him to overcome it, by simply encouraging him to trust himself too.
